Rock Around the World

On the Town with "Blue by Nature"

Universal City - Let's get down to it. This band should be signed, playing the sheds, touring with bands like...Aerosmith.

Karen Lawrence has a chartable vocal tone. Rick Dufay has an intimate command of his guitars and plays with his hands connected to his heart. There is no gap.

Fred Hostetler is a great listener with a rhythm guitar capable of reeling in the formidable Dufay leads. The combo of Charlie Diaz and Danny Potruch create a wind that moves people. Charlie Diaz might as well be on the one. Danny Potruch has one of the best snare drags in Rock. Potruch has the Jack Swing.

At the B.B. King venue I observed a crowd that was stunned the way the crowds were stunned by Led Zeppelin years ago when Led Zep did that initial tour of America. It was as if the crowd were waiting for permission from the band to applaud what they were experiencing. Maybe it was the Sunday time slot, but I don't think so. I pity the band that followed.
