LAGUNA SECA MONTEREY 300

Monterey, CA: September 8:
The natural beauty of the Monterey Peninsula compare to anywhere in the world. The area is enhanced by history of Monterey and the quaint villages of Carmel and Pacific Grove. It is the latter that we prefer for the busy Indy Car weekend as it is the least commercial of the three towns.

Your hotel in Pacific Grove is the Lighthouse Lodge and Suites, just a stone's throw from the beach and sea. The area has some wonderful trails along the craggy sea front, shaded by cypress trees and inhabited by no end of fascinating wildlife. Pelicans skim the waves and sea otters frolic in the bays.

It all creates an ambiance that brings together many new friends at the Friday evening welcome party. Saturday evening is free to dine out at one of the Peninsula's many restaurants.

Laguna Seca is operated by SCRAMP, which over the past thirty-nine years has donated more than six million dollars to charity and civic organizations from the proceeds of the auto racing events. All this is in spite of being limited by the County of Monterey to six events a year with a cap of 60,000 spectators at each event. When you consider the economic impact to the Monterey Peninsula is worth over $100 million annually, it helps to bring the value of Laguna Seca into perspective. Laguna Seca continues its development as a first class facility and the track improves each year we go.
